My review of Vikings (TV series)

Vikings is an original Canadian-Irish based on the world of Ragnar Lothbrok, a Viking warrior and farmer who yearns to explore across the ocean to own more lands. This historical drama television series was created and written by Michael Hirst and filmed in Ireland. Starring Travis Fimmel as Ragnar, Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha, Clive Standen as Rollo, Gustaf Skarsgård as Floki and Alexander Ludwig as Bjorn. In January of 2019, the end of this series was announced. The six seasons were inspired by the sagas of Ragnar and also a story of family and brotherhood.

Vikings is filmed in various locations but the majority of the scenes are shot outside of Dublin in Ireland. The series is inspired by medieval Scandinavia culture and explored aspects of Ragnar Lothbrok and his crew, family and descendants, during the 13th-century. Most of the main inspiration is taken from historical sources of the period, such as records of the Viking civilization and customs.
Some points that attracted me to watch the series was the fact that I could learn more about the culture, way of life, community style and clothing of the time. Vikings are highly taxed for their more aggressive behavior in fighting territorial defenses, in addition to the mystical side of different beliefs and spirituality.

I really liked the way the director exposed some particulars of the Vikings. In my opinion, watching this series is going beyond just entertainment, and also knowledge about another civilization.
This series deserves five stars. For sure you’ll love the production, details and photography in Vikings. It’s amazing back in time with them! You probably will see that you have a Ragnar inside on you!

I've already watched this series but I can watch again and again!! Amazing acting !!
